Why UpRush?

Some context for why this became a reality. There was recently and will continue to be a craze in digital art and spaces. First discussing this with a colleague compelled me to build out a first draft. UpRush was actually an old idea that started with an all css character. The idea was and still is to inspire people through creative storytelling and compelling digital experiences. It was a great time to begin to bring it (back) to life. Uprush is defined as "A sudden upward surge or flow, especially of a feeling.". So combining these old and new we are ready to start the next adventure.

If I am being honest UpRush also came to be as a release from stress. Quite a few high stress events took place recently, and I had to busy myself and my family with some positive activity. I have a teenager and a toddler to inspire and provide strength and security to. Many of the doodles here are a result of creating some enjoyment in these rough times. Hopefully others might also feel the UpRush, or at least have a little fun with it.

The Comics

The comics should make you smile. The idea is to be able to keep the messages uplifting. Using a variaty of techniques from love and positive energy—to negaive sarcasm intended to take a humorous tone. Enjoy these small reflections and inspirations from everyday experiences.

The UpRush Ship

Get ready for some exciting flights. Keep an eye out for new journey's and joyrides. This is a starship capable of carrying thousands of crew and inlcudes defense systems and personnel. Take a ride and kick it into warp speed.

The Avatar

Hand crafted using code. This avatar will become capable of full remote control. It works for both exploration and defense services. Each crew member has an avatar that can double the size of the crew (full abilities of the main host are either in real-time, or through the avatar).

The bugs

These bugs are some of my favorites. Keep it simple but provide a unique and fun character for each of the bug personalities. The end result is pretty adorable. Look for some exicting adventures to go on with the bugs.
